What this does—and does not—prove
- Does: validates address format, confirms Base chain ID, checks whether code exists, probes common ERC-20 metadata and
owner(), and flags a standard EIP-1967 proxy implementation when available. - Does: gives you direct BaseScan links to inspect the address, code, transactions, and token metadata yourself.
- Does not: audit code, verify ownership, prove a token is legitimate, or make any investment recommendation.
- Never: connect a wallet, request a signature, ask for recovery words, or initiate a transaction.
